Worshipful Masters Message: September 2008

Our dark months are just about over and we here at Alki Lodge No. 152 had a wonderful summer break. We had a great family picnic last July 5th at Lincoln Park in West Seattle. We conferred a Master Mason’s degree to Bro. Scott Marshall last July 28th. Our congratulations to you, Bro. Scott.

We had another remarkable event that followed in August 15-17. Alki Lodge No. 152 paid a visit to our Sister Lodge in British Columbia, St John’s Lodge No. 21 at Ladysmith. This event was made possible with the tremendous effort of our event coordinators, VWB Scott Wells and WB Kent Evans who arranged for the transportation and hotel accommodation for us. This reunion was a blast. Our Canadian Brethren gave us a very warm welcome and excellent accommodation.

We spent some time with the Worshipful Master, WB George Wrean at his residence where we had a picnic, serving us with tasty steak fry. It was a great fellowship with our Canadian Brethren. We thank you for such a wonderful time.

We bring you some good news for the month of September which will be highlighted by the official visit of our new Grand Master for the year 2008-2009, MWB Douglas E. Tucker, Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of F & AM of Washington. The event will be held at Alki Lodge No. 152 on its Stated Meeting on September 1, 2008 at 7:30 PM. A western-style dinner will be served by OES, Crown Chapter at 6:15 PM at a cost of around $10 to $12.00 per person (RSVP required). Attire will be Western outfit. Please send your RSVP to our Event Coordinator, VWB Scott Wells at annscottw@msn.com (206-932-0162) or to the WM, Sonny DeJesus at imdj12850@comcast.net (425-444-8315).
